A Chartered Accountant by qualification, Shobhit spent over 8 years in EY's Tax and Regulatory Services practice, rising from intern to Manager. His focus covered financial services and technology — advising clients on the full spectrum of indirect tax, from routine compliance to complex advisory, litigation support, and due diligence.

Nominated by EY India for a deputation to EY's Riyadh office during the KSA VAT rollout — a direct result of his performance during India's landmark GST implementation. At Shaikh Associates, Shobhit leads the firm's indirect tax practice, bringing Big 4 rigour and GCC implementation experience to UAE-based businesses on VAT structuring, compliance, and regional indirect tax legislation.

His GCC expertise is particularly deep. Having supported businesses expanding from India into the UAE and Saudi Arabia, Nishant understands how GCC tax legislation interacts with Indian transfer pricing rules, DTAA treaty positions, and FEMA capital account regulations. This makes him an invaluable resource for UAE-based entities with Indian parentage, joint ventures, or intercompany service arrangements.

On transfer pricing specifically, Nishant brings a practical, documentation-first approach — helping clients establish arm's length pricing, prepare Master File and Local File documentation, and navigate UAE CT transfer pricing rules that came into effect with Federal Decree-Law No. 47 of 2022.
