Accounting for Holding Companies & Family Offices
Holding companies, SPVs and family offices: we consolidate group results, document related-party dealings and get the Corporate Tax position on dividends and gains right.

One clear picture across every entity
Family groups and holding structures often grow entity by entity: a mainland operating company, a free zone trading arm, a property SPV, an offshore holding. Each has its own books, and few people can see the whole picture.
We keep each entity's accounts current, consolidate the group, and reconcile intercompany balances. Under UAE Corporate Tax, related-party transactions must be at arm's length and dividends and gains may be exempt if conditions are met, so we document both carefully.
- Group consolidation
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Related-party transfer pricing
- Corporate Tax on dividends and gains
- Tax group and restructuring options
- Investment and property reporting

Guides for UAE business owners
Holding Companies & Family Offices accounting: common questions
Are dividends received by a UAE holding company taxed?
Dividends and capital gains from qualifying shareholdings can be exempt under the participation exemption, which has conditions including ownership percentage and holding period. We test each holding.
Do related-party transactions need documentation?
Yes. They must be at arm's length, and depending on size you may need a disclosure form, a Master File and a Local File.
Can our companies form a tax group?
UAE resident companies with at least 95% common ownership that meet the conditions may apply to form a tax group and file one return. We assess whether it helps.
