Accounting for Technology & SaaS
Software, SaaS and tech companies: we recognise subscription revenue properly, report the metrics investors ask for and handle VAT on digital services.

Numbers your investors will trust
Tech companies are judged on metrics: recurring revenue, churn, burn and runway. If revenue is booked when cash arrives rather than when the service is delivered, those numbers are wrong, and diligence will find it.
We recognise subscription and contract revenue under IFRS 15, reconcile payment platforms, and report the SaaS metrics investors expect alongside clean IFRS accounts. VAT on digital services, Corporate Tax and QFZP questions are handled too.
- Subscription revenue recognised correctly
- Stripe and gateway reconciliation
- MRR, churn, burn and runway
- VAT on local and overseas sales
- Investor and board reporting
- QFZP review for free zone tech

Guides for UAE business owners
Technology & SaaS accounting: common questions
How do you account for annual subscriptions paid upfront?
The cash is received upfront, but revenue is recognised month by month over the subscription. The unearned part sits on the balance sheet as deferred revenue.
Is VAT charged on software sold to overseas customers?
Services supplied to customers outside the UAE can often be zero-rated, but only when the conditions are met. We review your customer base and contracts.
Can you help us prepare for a funding round?
Yes. We clean up the accounts, build the metrics and model investors ask for, and support you through financial due diligence.
