Profit by client, and a tax position that holds
For a consultancy, the product is people's time. Profit depends on utilisation, pricing and collecting fees on time, and for free zone firms, on which clients you serve.
We report profit by client and project, keep receivables under control and check your Corporate Tax position. Many free zone consultancies assume they pay 0%, but fees from mainland clients are usually non-qualifying income. We make sure you know where you stand.
- Profit by client and project
- Receivables and collections

Professional Services accounting: common questions
Do free zone consultancies pay 0% Corporate Tax?
Only on qualifying income, and only if every QFZP condition is met. Consulting fees from mainland clients are usually non-qualifying, so many consultancies pay 9% on part or all of their profit.
Should a consultancy use Small Business Relief?
If revenue is AED 3 million or less and you are not a QFZP, it can be worth electing for. We compare the options each year.
Can you help with time and project tracking?
We work with your time-tracking or project tool and use it to report profit by client and engagement.
